Lindsay Weiner, M.Ed, BCBA, LBS
Founder of SpecAbilities | Education, Transition & Workplace Consultant
I’m an educator and behavior analyst with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, families, and school teams across general and special education. Throughout my career, I’ve walked alongside families during moments of growth, challenge, and transition.
Over the years, I saw how often parents felt overwhelmed by the educational process, unsure where to start or how to make sense of the many systems surrounding their child. I also watched students reach graduation and suddenly face a new world of decisions, opportunities, and responsibilities without the same level of structure they had in school. Those gaps and the stress they created for families inspired me to create SpecAbilities.
My mission is simple: to help families access the right information, tools, and supports at the right time so their children can grow into confident, capable young adults living meaningful, fulfilling lives. I guide families in understanding their child’s needs, building confidence in navigating educational processes, and creating practical systems that support learning, behavior, and independence at home and beyond the classroom.
In addition to supporting families, I collaborate with employers and community organizations to strengthen neurodiverse inclusion in the workplace. Using principles from behavior science and organizational practices, I help teams build supportive systems that improve onboarding, communication, and long-term success for neurodiverse employees.
At the heart of everything I do is a core belief: when homes, schools, and workplaces work together, children and young adults can thrive in ways that are meaningful, sustainable, and full of possibility.
When I’m not working with families or building SpecAbilities, you can usually find me curled up with my two pups, JJ and Barkley.
